Description
Fornace Curti is a terracotta laboratory active in Milan since the 15th century. Its history is closely linked to that of the Sforza royal family, who in the second half of the 1400s commissioned the furnace to execute bricks and tiles for the Ospedale Maggiore, Ca 'Granda, now home to the University 'Statale' of Milan. Over the years the laboratory has remained active and has worked on the construction first, and then the restoration, of some of the most important historic buildings in Milan and Lombardy, such as Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, the Certosa di Pavia, the Duomo of Monza and many others. This piggy bank is the archetype of the Italian tradition, an archaic shape made of a pure, characteristic and fascinating material: Lombard red terracotta.
This moneybox does not have a cap, so when it is full, you can break it with a hammer while you celebrate.
Breaking the moneybox and counting money together with your loved ones will be one of the most important memories.
This moneybox is handmade. The terracotta with which it is made is very noble and pleasant, so it is also suitable for a nice gift.
