Founded in 1911 Ercole Moretti produces two classic types of Venetian glass beads: the “Rosetta” and the mosaic ‘Millefiori”. Over the years, the company has embraced various kinds of processes to expand its product range, and now the third generation of the family creates modern and current products with traditional techniques.
Mamezara, japanese word for 'dish the size of a bean', is a cute tiny plate which usually is max 10cm wide. Originally, they were used to serve salt, but also to pour soy sauce and vinegar. Nowadays, they are used in a variety of ways, such as for serving sweets or bread, and there are many mamezara lovers who collect various shapes of these beautiful dishes.
